Carmelo Anthony Trade

Carmelo Anthony Trade

Via NBA Fanhouse:

“No,” Anthony said when asked if there’s any truth to it. “I haven’t talked to Masai (Ujiri, the Nuggets executive vice president of basketball operations) about who I would sign an extension with, and who I want to sign with. I’ve never had that conversation.’

“Something will have to be resolved one way or the other (by the trade deadline),” Anthony said. “Our conversations (between Anthony and Nuggets president Josh Kroenke and Ujiri) will continue to happen. So that’s a good thing.”

Anthony said returning to Denver is still a long-term option.

“Yes,” Anthony said of there still being a possibility he could sign the extension with the Nuggets. “Yes, it is. My options are open. That doesn’t mean I’m not (going to sign it with Denver). That doesn’t mean I am. My options are open.”

Alina Kabayeva

Russian Vogue has put 2004 Olympic rhythmic champion Alina Kabayeva on its January 2011 cover. The lovely 27-year-old is shown posing in a sparkling golden dress by Balmain couture.
The 27-year-old former Olympic gymnast is seen on the cover of the magazine's January 2011 issue wearing a gold Balmain gown, StyleBistro is reporting. The issue is already shaking up readers, many of which have taken to online forums to vent their disapproval, particularly since the dress -- worth an estimated $33,000 -- had previously been photographed for other publications.
Kabayeva and Putin was rumored to be having an affair a couple years ago, and there was even some talk that Putin was planning to divorce his wife Lyudmila and marry her.

Montgomery county public schools

The council's public safety committee voted against Leggett's plan to hand pink slips to nine school resource officers and nearly two dozen fire officials, among other modifications to a $36 million savings plan proposed by the county executive for this fiscal year.
Leggett is asking most department heads to consider cutting their budgets by as much as 15 percent in fiscal 2012, which begins July 1.

On Monday, Councilman Philip M. Andrews (D-Dist. 3) of Gaithersburg, who chairs the Public Safety Committee, said he would like for Montgomery County Public Schools to pay for all or some of the program, which serves its schools.

Jennifer Carpenter

Michael C. Hall and Jennifer Carpenter play brother and sister on the hit series Dexter, but now will play ex-husband and wife in real life. The couple has filed for divorce after two short but eventful years of marriage that saw Hall battle Hodgkin's lymphoma and their critically-acclaimed show blow up.
She gushed that he's "the sexiest man alive, one of the best we've got. He's incredible and if anyone deserves accolades, it's him."
For those who don’t follow it, Dexter is the ongoing story of a Miami P.D. blood spatter analyst who is a serial killer in his spare time. Hall not only stars as the titular character but also produces the show too.

Voyager 1

Voyager 1, the unmanned space craft launched by the U.S. National Space and Aeronautics Administration when Jimmy Carter was president, is on the verge of leaving the solar system, over 10 billion miles from earth, the British Broadcasting Corp. said, citing mission officials.
Since 2004, the unmanned probe has been exploring a region of space where the solar wind slows abruptly and crashes into the thin gas between stars.
Voyager 1 is traveling faster, at a speed of about 38,000 mph, compared to Voyager 2′s velocity of 35,000 mph
